Grand Master's Message
I want to encourage all lodges to begin getting organized for 2008 it is vitally important that each lodge participate in the Lodge of the Year. Enclosed is a road map of next years Lodge of the Year Campaign. We have divided each lodge up in (4) Four categories by their Lodge Membership.
Division I 200 members or more
Division II 199- 101 members
Division III 100-51 members
Division IV 51- 0 members
Expectation is only thing that separates us from each lodge. The Lodge of the Year is simple begins by getting Organized. Plan your work and work your plan.
- Make sure you lodge has FUN activities!! Inventory your lodge membership and find out what each of your members enjoy doing.
- Begin working on your FINANCE of your lodge. Does your lodge have money? What are you doing about raising money so you can participate in matching funds and other charitable programs
- Is your lodge a 1st Class FACILITY? When the community drives by your building do they see an old building with old men or do they see a 1st Class organization. Begin creating a capital project today.
- Does your lodge provide FELLOWSHIP? Why should someone join lodge?? Does your Lodge participate in Officers Retreat, Prevent Blindness, OETA, Membership (Masonic Light Weekend), and Youth Groups.
- Does your lodge provide FRATERNALISM for its members?? Does your lodge have a widows night, 50 year Presentations, Past Masters Night, Provide for Promises Matter, Called on all masons on your roles(Leave no Mason Behind), and begin working on your Ritual Proficiency.(Division I & II Entered Apprentice Degree and Division III & IV Opening & Closing Lodge Proficiency)
My brother this is our campaign, this is our cause…… now let’s roll up our sleeves and get masonry back to basics by focusing on the 5 Points of Fellowship.
Fraternally,
